Mumford & Sons are hoping to build on their success by releasing their second album later this year.
Seems like English Folk Rock band Mumford and Sons aren’t about to the slow things down at all now that they’ve made it “big” after easily selling over 300,000 copies of their debut album Sigh No More another musical mile stone this year. Seems like the band has announced that they will be producing a new album this year after especially being productive in late January where they reconvened in Nashville after a holiday break. “We wrote six tracks in a week when we were on the farm,” Ben Lovett says. “We just played every day and shared with each other the different songs we’d been writing on our spare time away from each other. We want to get the second album recorded this year, and we’re hoping to have gigged the record in before going to the studio,’ he explained.Guess this means also fans in the US get to hear some of the new tracks when Mumford & Sons head out on their six-date Railroad Revival Tour next month.Perhaps using the principle don’t change a winning formula, the band have already recruited Sigh No More producer Markus Dravs for the recording sessions.
