Swimwear Fashion Show Miami

Here are some favorite looks from day four and five of the Swimwear Fashion Show, whcih was held in Miami and ended Monday. Cia Maritima (shown above) and Lisa Blue stood out for their colorful prints, and Shay Todd receives points for sophisticated suits that can do double time as tops. Pierre Balmain Collection Set to Launch for Spring 2012

Balmain and Ittierre SpA are set to launch a new accessible collection, designed by Ittierre and communicated by Balmain themselves.. Pierre Balmain is a more “downtown” collection from the brand that looks to land in more than 700 doors worldwide with their Spring/Summer 2012 collection. A variety of catgeories will be touched: “all clothing categories from eveningwear to daywear, from tailoring to jeans.” Much more as we get it. More looks after the click.

Uniform Experiment Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

Up next is a detailed look at the new uniform experiment Fall/Winter 2011 Collection Lookbook. At the center of the new collection is a rather big collaboration with Keith Haring, including a full capsule collection, featuring the art of the late artist. Furthmore UE worked with Carhartt, Kangol, Nike and other brands on interesting collaborative items. They still present a few suits, ties and formal wear in general, something that the line did more heavily in its early days. Check out the full collection lookbook after the jump.

Stussy x Mighty Crown x Nine Rulaz Line T-Shirt

In celebration of the massive 20th anniversary held in Yokohama, Japan by Mighty Crown, a popular fixture in the reggae dancehall scene, the group has entered into a collaboration between their own clothing line, Nine Rulaz, and Stussy. The collection of reggae-themed t-shirts features a special graphic print on the front and is available in black, white and grey colorways. Priced at ¥5,250 JPY (approximately $70 USD) the tees can be purchased through Stussy Japan.

Mishka Summer 2011 lookbook

Mishka has put together a nice lookbook of their Summer collection shot throughout Budapest. The items are modeled by members of the Mishka team themselves as they cruise around a cool night in the Hungarian capital. The lookbook shows no clear and specific focus on the garments of the collection rather but functions more as a documentation of the guys' midnight stroll rather than an in-your-face lookbook, opting for more subtle product placement, and I like it. Childish Gambino has been kind of quiet lately, but he explains his hiatus & performs a new song for the lucky people in the audience. Childish Gambino world premiering a brand new song from his upcoming album live from his special show during Comic-Con at House of Blues in San Diego, CA on July 22, 2011.

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment in London today ... TMZ has confirmed.A press release from the Metropolitan Police, which doesn't specifically name Winehouse, says: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained." Winehouse famously battled addiction to drugs and alcohol and was in and out of rehab several times throughout the years. Last month, Winehouse canceled her European tour after a performance in Serbia where she seemed completely out of it.

MICHAEL JORDAN ON COVER OF NBA 2K12

Considered the greatest basketball video game ever made, it was always going to be a tough ask for 2K Sports to one-up last year's epic NBA 2K11. Produced in conjunction with Michael Jordan and featuring His Airness on the cover, it seemed the only way way 2K12 could possibly live up to it's predecessor was to... be produced in conjunction with Michael Jordan and feature His Airness on the cover! Yes, the 2K12 cover is graced yet again by Michael Jordan, busting a move in the Air Jordan XIII. (Oh, and he's bought along a couple of friends for a pair of alternate covers as well... you might know them!)

Either way I'm extremely impressed with his flow & choice of beats to spit on, he's an alternative rapper after my own heart. ( & easy on the eyes !) Michigan born/ Philly bred -- Gilbere is a young lyricist inspired by the likes of BIG,Pac, Roy Ayers and the creativity of artists such as Phil Collins and Sade. Taking off with his hit 'Born in '87', Forte's hard work began to pay off with notoriety from Hip Hop's own DJ Cannon, who proceeded to host Gilbere's 'Eyes of Veritas'.
