Miami Marlin’s swimming into new territory
Thinking back to the days when I was much younger, with a lot less to do, I vividly remember the great teams the Florida Marlin’s assembled in 1997 and 2003. But, these memories are soon followed by a cloud of confusion. A cloud that surrounds itself around the manner in which both championship winning teams were totally dismantled. After the most recent roster overhaul following the World Series win of 2003, the Marlin’s have yet field a competitive team, until now. The offseason free agency pickups of Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle and Heath Bell have cost the Marlin’s over $191 million. With changes ranging from the tweaking of the ball clubs name all the way down to the new stadium, it is clear to see the now Miami Marlin’s are looking for a fresh start. Having tickets went on sale January 21 and the first Spring training game is March 5 you can understand the excitement. I didn’t even mention the new uni’s.
Are you ready for some baseball? I am, especially if it involves Miami Marlins winning games.
