Trailer Released For Burton's Latest

A first trailer is out for Tim Burton's new film. Dark Shadows is a remake of the classic horror soap opera with the same name (which there exists two versions of, one from the 60s and one made during the early 90s). Starring as the lead character Barnabas is as usual Johnny Depp, and of course we'll also see Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter in a major role. Others to star in the film are Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green and Chloe Grace Moretz. The story centers about a very, very old vampire waking up during the 1970s and his human family. As this is a remake, there's the usual upset fans. Major gripes with this film is that the trailer has a very comedic tone compare to the more serious series, which I really have to agree with. Hopefully the actual film will have a more serious tone. Apparently Johnny Depp is a huge fan of the original series, and he's the one who bought the rights to the film. Personally I didn't really like the trailer, and as I've been disappointed with a lot of the movies made by Burton the last decade I don't have any high expectations for this one. What do you think?   Dark Shadows
