Bond is back, and better than ever. The up and coming Bond movie “SkyFall” may have set its eyes to become another blockbuster hit. It is of course inevitable that Omega will be pushing a new piece for the ole James Bond to adorn. Being the ambassador of Omega that he is. For some weird reason, I still think that making a fictitious character an ambassador is pointless and immature. Although, the character we are speaking here is non-other than Bond himself. The icon that he is, that catapulted the Rolex Submariner to extreme heights that is simply unreachable by any other timepiece in history. So without further ado, I present to you the limited edition SkyFall series of the Omega Seamaster Professional.
The piece is measured at 42mm in diameter (which is the standard of men’s watches of today), in a polished steel case with matching steel bracelet and matte black dial with horizontal and vertical lines that create a visual effect that is stunning for a Seamaster Professional. Adding a trademark logo of “007” in the 7 o’clock position is the piece is simply spot on. As with most 007 edition Omega, the “007” logo will also be engraved in the rotor of the patented Omega Co-Axial Caliber 8507. The piece will also include a helium escape valve and is rated to be resistant of up to 600 meters. The new 007 Omega will surely be a piece for collectors with only 5,007 of these will be produced. Not so much limited if you ask me, but still Bond fans will be wearing them once SkyFall hits the big screen.
