By now you’ve probably seen the first images of the Lana Del Ray for H&M Fall campaign. Ahead of it’s full premiere tomorrow (Sept 20th), here is the TV commercial of the video campaign, entitled ‘Blue Velvet’.
The ‘Videogames’ star exercises that unique and haunting voice in a cover of Bobby Vinton’s ‘Blue Velvet’, which is received by an audience of eerie Del Ray clones and a bad-tempered dwarf. Of course, the song is best known as the soundtrack to David Lynch’s movie of the same name…which makes things even weirder. Lana’s voice certainly fits the bill of the track, and a lot of fans are already expressing hope that the cover will feature in the upcoming ‘Born to Die: Paradise Edition’ which arrives in November.
The TV ad gives us a sneaky look at some of the H&M Fall collection in action, which features a lot of what seems to be 60s inspired knitwear across grey and beige colourways. It’ll be really interesting to see the full video tomorrow, which we will put up for you to see here.
