This past week ISAORA opened a pop-up shop at Steven Alan in New York City and also unveiled its Fall/Winter 2012 collection, complete with a range of outerwear, knits, and underwear. The ISAORA Fall-Winter 12⁄13 Collection reflects on the seven elements of shibusa: SIMPLICITY, IMPLICITY, MODESTY, SILENCE, NATURALNESS, EVERYDAYNESS AND IMPERFECTION. A conceptual starting point that take the paradox between simplicity and complexity into the very fiber of the fabric.

Looking at the history of the Isaora, the brand had the tendency to design for narrow-minded men with a fashion forward sense of style for all their garments. As a result, the young label was selected to be a part of the second class of the CFDA’s Fashion Incubator Program, which gives emerging designers subsidized office space and mentoring from industry leader.
