Nike steps up with Rise Oklahoma
By now, you have likely heard that Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant has donated $1 Million to the Red Cross to help with the devastation from the Oklahoma tornadoes.
Durant's donation was not only a great gesture on its own, but it has also acted as a spark to get more athletes and brands to donate, and Nike has stepped up to the plate.
Not only has Nike donated $1 million worth of Nike products to try to make life a little easier for victims who have lost everything, but they have also announced they will donate proceeds from the Oklahoma City KD V Elites to the relief effort.
Sure, they're not cheap at $180, but if you you have been looking for a fresh new pair of sneakers to wear on the court, or maybe just wear out on the street, here is your chance and/or excuse.
Not only will you be getting a great new pair of Nikes, but you'll be helping out a great cause.

Madden 13 Cover vote on ESPN SN
For the second consecutive year, EA Sports is allowing the fans to decide who will be on the cover of the Madden franchise. With Madden 13 set to come out, an assortment of star players can be voted on, including Tim Tebow, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Victor Cruz. Usually, a player signs a deal to be on the cover, so they have control to ultimately say no in the end. However, with this new system that started with Madden 12, it is up to the fans. My qusetion is, do you want your team's star player on the cover? Every team had two players from their team represented on the original bracket, which can be seen here. If you are unfamiliar with the Madden Curse, take a quick look at this wikipedia article. I never believe in curses or supesrstitions like this, but you have to admit there is a strange correlation between being on the cover, and inevitably having something bad happen to your team or yourself at some point in the season, almost without fail. So, Victor Cruz needs to stay as far from this cover as possible. I'm going to actually vote for whoever is up against him. Here is the most current bracket[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mgHKacduNE&w=620&h=345]
Walking Dead video game trailer released today
After last night's season 2 finale of the Walking Dead on AMC, it's just about perfect timing to release the anticipated trailer for the Walking Dead video game. Based and styled after the popular comic series, The Walking Dead will follow a new character, in a parallel timeline to the show/comics. The game follow Lee, starting when Rick is still in his coma (where we see the show start in season 1). Perhaps one of the most famous works of 20th Century American Literature is making it's way to the big screen. On The Road, based on the book of the same name, by Jack Kerouac. The film is loosely based on the cross-country adventures of Kerouac, focusing on characters Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) and Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund).
Also featuring Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen, it appears this film has the proper cast to do justice to the book. Or at least not disappoint.
On the Road is coming out May 23rd.

The latest installment in perhaps one of the biggest video game franchises is set to hit stores next holiday season, and 343 Studios has released a behind the scenes video. Not only does it look great, but it actually sounds great too, with full orchestras contributing to the soundtrack.Assassin's Creed 3 Cover Art Revealed
Ubisoft has released the cover of their latest installment in the hit Assassin's Creed series.
The third main game, as the cover art shows, will be set in America, during the revolutionary war. Pretty awesome picture and story line.
The first installment, that came out in 2007, was set during the Crusades in the Middle East with the protagonist being Altair. The 2009 follow0up, was set in 15th century France following a decendant of Altair, named Ezio Auditore.
The latest installment, with a release date of October 30, features what looks to be a Native American (judging by the tomahawk and arrows).
Definitely an exciting and original story/setting for a game. Let's be honest who doesn't want to go around killing redcoats like Mel Gibson in the Patriot?
Here's a little sample of what the previous Assassin games have looked like.
All of the official details will be released on March 5th at 5 p.m. Stay tuned.
