DJ Shadow x Stoker TV Spot

"Stoker" is the first English-language film from the internationally acclaimed director, Chan-Wook Park (famous for his Korean cult classic, "Oldboy"). The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode. In the film, India Stoker (Wasikowska) loses her dear father in a tragic car accident. Soon after, her mother, Evelyn (Kidman) introduces her to her mysterious uncle, Charlie (Goode). India suspects that her uncle is not who he seems to be and that he is having an affair with her mother. However, despite his eerie demeanor, India becomes drawn to his charm. As if the plot doesn't sound creepy enough, the phenomenal DJ Shadow mixes an intense and hard-hitting track for this "Stoker" TV Spot, posted by Empire, that only adds to the suspense of the film. If this doesn't make you want to see the film, I don't know what will!

Zero Dark Thirty Movie Trailer

For those of you who may have missed it opening day, Zero Dark Thirty is a must see 2013 American action thriller directed and co-produced by Kathryn Bigelow with screenplay by Mark Boal. Billed as "the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man," the film chronicles American efforts to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. It stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, and Mark Strong. The film had its premiere in Los Angeles, California on 18 December 2012.

Zero Dark Thirty was released to wide critical acclaim and earned four Golden Globe nominations including Best Picture – Drama, Best Director, and Best Actress – Drama for Chastain. It has also attracted controversy and strong criticism for its allegedly pro-torture stance and for allegedly obtaining improper access to classified materials.

Brad Pitt talks politics, Tarantino and cockney accents in the latest issue of Interview magazine. In anticipation of his latest 70s-style throwback film Killing Them Softly, Brad Pitt sat down with old friend Guy Richie for a chat on behalf of Interview Magazine.

I think I'm at a point now where I feel like I can jump into anything and lay something down that's quality. Someone may be better at it—or maybe not—but I know that if I have a feeling for it, then I can make it interesting.

Words aside, I was really interested in the shoot by Steven Klein, which depicts Pitt in a huge range of character roles - from dreadlocked hippie to white-suited James Bond. Click here to read the full interview, and check out the full gallery below.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Trailer #2

Friday morning geekery prevails. If you haven't had the chance to see this yet, let me be the one to give you the good news. The second trailer for Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' has arrived, and it looks set to blow the socks off every other film released this year. Directed by Jackson ('Lord of the Rings' trilogy, 'King Kong', 'The Lovely Bones') and part-written by Guillermo Del Toro ('Pan's Labyrinth', 'Hellboy'), 'The Hobbit' follows the earlier adventures of Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Great as they set off to reclaim the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. Initially, I shared a lot of people's reservations about the novel being stretched across three films (the same length as the entire LOTR trilogy - really?), but seeing this second trailer has given me new hope that it might just work. Martin Freeman makes a fantastic Bilbo and the film looks consistent with the feel of Jackson's previous efforts; they just need to make sure that the pace is right and the action keeps on coming. Part one of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' arrives in cinema's on December 14.

Killing Them Softly: Trailer

Of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) Killing Them Softly is set to premiere in theaters everywhere October 19 2012.

The feature began as a Cannes Film Festival entry- competing for the coveted Palm D'Or on May 22, 2012. From there, the film gained heralding & anticipation.

Adapted from George V. Higgins' 1974 novel Cogan's Trade- the film stars Brad Pitt as Jackie Cogan an underworld professional. As a hired enforcer he must investigate the circumstances surrounding a heist that took place during a mob-insured poker game. The investigation will prove to be profane & horrific.

Scorsese's gangster films of old are pristine, filmed in a period of believability where civility formerly protected the limited imagination.

Today it's even more difficult to impress desensitized audiences- but with a cast that involves gangster film must have Ray Liotta- how can the movie not be amazing? Not to mention, Sopranos boss James Gandolfini who also stars in the film beside Hollywood veteran Richard Jenkins.

‘REINCARNATED’ featuring Snoop Dogg: Official Documentary Announced

During a New York press conference on Monday, which was attended by Bob Marley's son Rohan, the international hip-hop star announced that he is no longer Snoop 'Dog' but Snoop 'Lion' and has embraced the Rastafarian way of life. A documentary based on his journey will be premier at the Toronto Film Festival this year. The mind boggles. After a 35 day trip to Jamaica, Snoop Dogg explained that he connected with the spirit of Bob Marley and unlocked his own calling as a Reggae artist - he now plans to release a record entitled 'Reincarnated' through the Vice label and retire from writing music about guns, drugs and women.

I didn't know that until I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, 'Snoop Dogg.' And he looked me in my eyes and said, 'No more. You are the light; you are the lion.'... I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated. I feel I have always been a Rastafari. I just didn't have my third eye open, but its wide open right now.

The first track 'La La La' (produced by Diplo/Major Lazer) was released publicly a few days ago. It has since been announced that a documentary following Snoop's journey of self-discovery will be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012. The trailer features flashbacks across the artist's life and career as well as an insight into the new relationships he built with the Jamaican community - it can be viewed online here. Lady Gaga For Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Machete Kills’

Not long after buzz hit of her launching a new social networking site, it has now been confirmed that Lady Gaga has been cast in Robert Rodriguez's film, "Machete Kills." This will be the songstress' acting debut, as she plays the role of La Chameleon and joins a cast that includes Amber Heard, Sofia Vergera, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, Danny Trejo, and Alex Vega. Also, (get ready) Charlie Sheen is set to play the film's U.S. President. Having works like "Planet Terror" and "Sin City" already attached to his resume, it is perhaps no surprise that Rodriguez has summoned the rather eccentric personality of Mother Monster as an addition to what is sure to be another uncanny film. Set as a follow-up to Rodriguez's 2012 movie "Machete," "Kills" will attempt to up the ante on what many critics considered as a mediocre project. Warner Bros. released the total box office gross for the opening of Christoper Nolan's grand finale to his trio of Batman films. Overshadowed by news of a tragic shooting in Colorado on Saturday, the studio announced the film at a total of 160.9m over the weekend making it the third highest opener behind The Avengers and the second Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. Projections before the opening came in at 180m-200m gross total prompting a debate on the effect of shooting. Some sources report the movie to have not been affected at all while the Huffington Post reports an estimated twenty percent decrease in projected attendance rate. Major news outlets have been relentlessly covering aspects of the event such as reported martyrdom to issues of Colorado gun legality. Was your choice whether or not to see the film somewhat based on the tragedy? FN Magazine sends out thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ – Review

After writing last week about the release of the final installment in the Christopher Nolan 'Batman' franchise, on Friday I keenly went to the cinema to see 'The Dark Knight Rises.' Without giving out any spoilers I can say the film is filled with so many twists and turns, it is edge-of-the-seat material and matches 'The Dark Knight' all round. The acting throughout is spectacular, with the original names including Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine. However, the four new faces were what really stole the show for me. Most notable were Anne Hathaway's portrayal of the gorgeous Catwoman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Blake, the cop with a lot to prove. Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate and Tom Hardy as Bane, Batman's new nemesis following the Joker, deserve mentions for playing their parts to perfection. Hardy had huge boots to fill after Heath Ledger’s Joker in the previous film. Playing Bane, Hardy shows no mercy and tests Batman to the max. Whereas the Joker tests Batman mentally, Bane resorts to his physical prowess to match Batman. While they use different measures to counter Gotham, they both provide sensational plots and successfully reinvent Batman in the modern day. Nolan’s knack at picking the right actor for the character matched with his genius plots are a recipe for success. The conclusion is a work of art that fits perfectly into the 'Batman' franchise and creates an epic, final chapter to the trilogy under Christopher Nolan. Overall, the way Nolan constructed 'The Dark Knight Rises' by combining both 'The Dark Knight' and 'Batman Begins' was certainly impressive in my opinion. Nolan sets up a climax in which Gotham's finest fight against Bane's evil forces and overthrow the chaos Gotham is engulfed in. Then one last time Batman must save Gotham in an exciting and unpredictable conclusion. It may well be the film of the year and an absolute masterpiece. So make sure you pay a visit to your local cinema this summer and you won’t be disappointed. On a final note I would also like to pay respects to all those affected by the Colorado shooting at a Batman premiere. Our prayers are with them all at this time.

July 20th . The Dark Knight Rises. The eagerly anticipated follow up to the 2008 blockbuster The Dark Knight is sure to be a success. Christian Bale continues his role as Batman whilst Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldham and Michael Caine all reprise their roles after the success of the Dark Knight. Key roles are also given to the beautiful Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy plays Batman's nemesis Bane.

If The Dark Knight Rises is made in the light of The Dark Knight then audiences around the world are in for a treat. Everyone can remember Heath Ledger's perfect performance as the Joker which resulted in him winning numerous posthumous awards for best supporting actor including at the Oscars. The worldwide success of The Dark Knight grossing over $1bn dollars worldwide just shows that The Dark Night Rises won't disappoint.

New characters and a new plot means it isn't the 2008 Batman film the world fell in love with. But the old faces all directed by Christopher Nolan's genius and unique style means it could be better than The Dark Knight. Whatever the reception of the film after its release in 4 days time, audiences need to remember it's a typical superhero film that will indefinitely deliver the superhero comic-book atmosphere audiences thrive on in the cinema. Nolan's use of IMAX throughout the filming of The Dark Knight Rises means that watching in the cinema will be a special experience.

Mac & Devin Go to High School (Official Film Trailer)

Back in December, Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa released the soundtrack to their feature film "Mac A Devin Go To High School". Now, they have let loose the trailer for the film which is due out on DVD on July 3rd. The two & a half minute clip gives a bit of backstory on the film. Wiz plays student Devin, an intelligent high school student who wants to graduate at the top of his class, whilst Snoop plays 15-year Senior Mac, who simply doesn't care about graduating at all. The trailer makes the film look rather hilarious, and I can see it being a viral success. Check it out above & let us know what you think in the comments.

It seems like a good fit for character, and many seem to agree. However, a lot of people are worried that Andre simply won't be able to recreate Jimi's character. What do you think? We do see that the majority of the cast is returning besides a notably absent Veronica Corningstone. Considering the first film was a cult success, the sequel has a lot to live up to! For all the women out there who are deeply in love with Daniel Craig, I'd like to give you a heads up about his return to the big screen in the latest "SKYFALL" movie trailer. Daniel Craig is back again as James Bond in the upcoming 007 “SKYFALL”. The 23rd film arrives with a rather concise 1:24 clip that sees Bond in settings throughout London and Shanghai. While little is known of the plot, Bond’s loyalty to M will be tested through the film as M’s past remerges to compromise her trustworthiness. While further trailers are expected to arrive leading up to the worldwide launch, the film is slated to hit US theaters on November 9, 2012.

Steve Jobs Biopic to be Written by The Social Network’s Aaron Sorkin

For a while now there have been rumors on the web that Aaron Sorkin, screenwriter for many successful films such as Moneyball & The Social Network would possibly write Steve Jobs biopic for Sony Pictures. It has now officially been announced through a press-release that Aaron will indeed be signing on to the film. The film, which will be based on Steve Jobs biography, which was written by Walter Isaacson, will be made for the big screen.
