Fresh off of a stint in Turkish pro basketball and back on his NBA grizzly in New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn), one of Deron Williams’ first moves off of the court was linking up Red Bull. To tip off the new partnership, Red Bull put together for a “welcome” event for Deron complete with transportation to the party in the company branded, Military Extreme Vehicle. This past Wednesday, NYC took it back to the old school with the launch of the West NYC x Milkcrate Athletics x Rakim Godly Tee. Here's how the Milkcrate crew called the action:, 'At roughly around 9pm, The God Rakim and Aaron LaCrate pulled up outside of West NYC in a crazy party bus. The line was around the corner with kids ready to cop the official Milkcrate x Rakim x West NYC GODLY COLLABO t-shirt. Aaron LaCrate stepped up to the decks and wizzed through a Dipset mega mix, featuring his newest jam 'Everybody Jones'. The crowd went wild. Boom bap, that Fab Five Freddy real rap is back. Then Rakim walked through the door, illuminated by his Godly presence, the crowd went even more crazy. RAAAAKIM RAAAAKIM RAAAAKIM!. It was time. chop chop chop scratch, backspin, Microphone Fiend blazed through the crowd, then Knowledge, then Paid In Full. Then Rakim the God signed autographs and chilled for a bit, and the party was just starting inside, as the Baltimore beats and Colt 45 stated flowing.'
