I'm all for experimental accessories. Whether it's crazy headgear, shoulder pads, or
collar clips — believe me I will test drive
just about anything. But recently a style I've come across may be a tad reluctant to sport:
faux ‘staches. Nothing about pranks, nor the party kind (however, I like to sport those too). Hum, mega-luxe lipwear (yes, it exists - well now at least) ?
I didn't hear any word on when or why or how these even launched, but they're unlike anything my fashion friends have seen, that's for sure. And while digging the idea of playing up the funnier side of fashion, I'm not entirely sold on these facial “hair” embellishments, crafted by the S.F.-based jewelry-making ladies of
Litter.
The prop-esque items attach to sunglasses and give the illusion of a beard or mustache...made out of metal. Okay, we get it, facial hair is a hot commodity right now (especially in Brian Wilson-obsessed S.F.), but why do we need to try the trend on for size? Yet, still I love them.
Would you sport fringed mustaches eyewear for $90 ?
