Johnny Depp

Trailer Released For Burton's Latest

A first trailer is out for Tim Burton's new film. Dark Shadows is a remake of the classic horror soap opera with the same name (which there exists two versions of, one from the 60s and one made during the early 90s). Starring as the lead character Barnabas is as usual Johnny Depp, and of course we'll also see Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter in a major role. Others to star in the film are Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green and Chloe Grace Moretz. The story centers about a very, very old vampire waking up during the 1970s and his human family. As this is a remake, there's the usual upset fans. Major gripes with this film is that the trailer has a very comedic tone compare to the more serious series, which I really have to agree with. Hopefully the actual film will have a more serious tone. Apparently Johnny Depp is a huge fan of the original series, and he's the one who bought the rights to the film. Personally I didn't really like the trailer, and as I've been disappointed with a lot of the movies made by Burton the last decade I don't have any high expectations for this one. New Trailer For 21 Jump Street

More news in remake land. There's a new trailer out for the upcoming Jonah Hill and Channing Tantum comedy 21 Jump Street. It's a so called Red Band trailer, because of the drug content and language, and yes, that means the movie will actually be R-rated. The movie actually looks pretty fun from the trailer, at least better than I thought it would. It's about two young looking cops starting to work undercover at a high school. As a lot of you probably know, the movie is based (very loosely) on the old 80s TV-series that goes under the same name. The fact that the makers of the new one seem to have taken a lot of liberty with the material has made some fans upset, as has the fact that Johnny Depp, who actually starred in the original series, has chosen to be in this new remake. What do you think? Watch the trailer above.
