To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Run DMC's killer sneaker anthem 'My Adidas', the three stripes brand are set to re-release a special Superstar 80s edition. The incredible rap jam marked the first time a group consciously sought out sneaker sponsorship, resulting in an unprecedented marriage that would see both brands flourish with fortune and fame. Paving the way for musicians and artists, Run DMC led the pack and in return adidas now pay tribute to their long lasting partnership.
Featuring premium buttery leather uppers, 3M black stripes and heel tabs (which pay tribute to DJ legend Jam Master Jay), the Superstar 80s also come complete with 1986 ankle signatures and dookie chain lace jewels. Finished off with three sets of laces (even though we all know Run DMC would never lace their shelltoes, EVER!), adidas look set to release the pack plus matching apparel on 11th November aka 11.11.11. Thanks to Inside The Sneaker Box we cop a closer look.
I had a pair of boots just like this before I left them at my ex-girlfriends house after we broke up.... Moncler V, the collaboration line between Moncler and visvim, sees a new take on the classic mountain boot. Yet to disappoint with standout styles and details, this new release from Moncler V features durable waxed leather uppers with contrasting laces, a D-ring lacing system and the signature Moncler red, white and blue stripe on Vibram outsoles. These are available now in limited numbers through End Clothing.
Spotted at Agenda was an upcoming collaborative footwear venture between Primitive and Southern California shoe masters Gourmet. Working with the Quadici silhouette, the Primitive crew developed a colorway inspired by 1996′s Space Jam. Featuring a mostly black colorway, the shoes mix premium leather and patent leather uppers with white/blue accenting and a Primitive logo on the heel. Stay tuned for a better look once 2012 rolls around.
