'The Dark Knight Rises' - Review
After writing last week about the release of the final installment in the Christopher Nolan ‘Batman’ franchise, on Friday I keenly went to the cinema to see ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ Without giving out any spoilers I can say the film has so many twists and turns, it is edge-of-the-seat material and matches ‘The Dark Knight’ all round. Tenacious D - To Be The Best
Comedy duo "Tenacious D" compromised of Jack Black & Kyle Gass have been rather quiet over the past few years. Since their Box office movie "The Pick Of Destiny" didn't really do as well as they expected it to, they had seemed to disappear. Well, they're back! At least to an extent. The duo have released a 6 minute film parodying the last few years and what is expected from the new album. The clip features cameo's from Dave Grohl, Josh Groban & a few others. The track also premiere's a new song, "To Be The Best". Sounding very similar to old stuff, I think fans have got to ask themselves. Has this really been worth the wait? Despite this the film is rather amusing. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments!Avid Studio iPad Application

In Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha all of the film initiatives are government controlled,” one source involved in the talks told The Observer. “A bidding war is going on between various government entities and private investors to fund the film. There’s pretty intense rivalry here between Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar. They all want to claim the film as their own and take credit for generating the publicity.”
“His reps seemed genuinely enthusiastic about creating a piece which highlights the culture accurately,” one source told The Observer. “There’s a lot of preconceived notions and stereotypes about Emiratis and Qataris, which Westerners often play up. They discussed how Kanye is looking to bridge the cultural divide and break misconceptions.” Thanks to complex magazine for the info.
Wrath of the Titans
After the failure of the remade Clash of The Titans back in 2010, I'm kind of surprised that Hollywood is willing to continue the story of Perseus. When will these directors understand how to make a good movie? Continuing the story of Perseus five years later after the events of Clash of the Titans, Perseus rules Argos with Andromeda at his side and a newborn baby as their heir. But in the shadows lurks Calibos, the cursed demon thought dead, and now out for revenge. Check out the CG filled trailer and leave your comments below.
Dark Knight Rises Spoilers Hit The Web
In the introduction to an interview that the Los Angeles Times conducted with Anne Hathaway about The Dark Knight Rises, the site detailed a brief scene from Christopher Nolan's upcoming Batman film: "Gotham City is a war zone. A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to see what will blow up next. A hooded prisoner is dragged in – it's Bruce Wayne, one of Gotham's most famous faces – but the eyes of the crowd go instead to the woman in black standing at the top of the staircase." The description continued, "'Sorry to spoil things, boys, but Bane needs these guys himself,' says sultry Selina Kyle, played here by actress Anne Hathaway, navigating the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears." The article certainly paints a grim picture of a Metropolitan city thrown into chaos thanks to the masked terrorist, Bane. But the most interesting part is the fact that the description indicates that Catwoman might be a henchwoman of sorts for Bane. Or so it seems. All of the answers will be revealed when The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20, 2012. [via The Los Angeles Times]
