Rising Pop-Punk band Haley Bowery and The Manimals announced they will release their debut LP Born Strange on June 19th, 2012. Born Strange is a high-energy anthemic 10-track album, which is produced/engineered by Andrew Krivonos, who has worked with JoJo Pellegrino, Kaci Battaglia, and Wu Tang. The songs were recorded at The Brewery Recording Studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Earlier this year, the album received pledges – effectively donations- from more than 45 backers via a Kickstarter campaign to allow the band to promote and distribute the debut album. Read more
Comedy duo "Tenacious D" compromised of Jack Black & Kyle Gass have been rather quiet over the past few years. Since their Box office movie "The Pick Of Destiny" didn't really do as well as they expected it to, they had seemed to disappear.
Well, they're back! At least to an extent. The duo have released a 6 minute film parodying the last few years and what is expected from the new album.
The clip features cameo's from Dave Grohl, Josh Groban & a few others.
The track also premiere's a new song, "To Be The Best". Sounding very similar to old stuff, I think fans have got to ask themselves. Has this really been worth the wait? Despite this the film is rather amusing.
