The Grey

The Grey, which hit theaters on January 27, was set to be one of the best movies to hit theaters in the month of January. Reviewers called it "a man's-man of a genre picture" and "a gripping and beautiful film". With 93% of the Rotten Tomatoes audience wanting to see the flick and a big-budget marketing and advertising campaign, The Grey was supposed to leave audience members reeling. The synopsis (don't worry, no spoilers) is as follows: Liam Neeson leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks when their plane crashes in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Battling mortal injuries and merciless weather, the survivors only have a few days to escape the icy elements - and a vicious pack of rogue wolves on the hunt. After having the opportunity to catch the picture over the weekend, I agree wholeheartedly with the praise that reviewers were giving the movie coming into its showing. Action met philosophy, grit met beauty, and by the end of the movie, my fingernails had seen better days. Check out the trailer below, and let us know if it's a must see - or a must miss!
