If you don't own a pair of boat shoes or loafers then you're missing out on life....New from Chicago-based Oak Street Bootmakers comes two pairs of brown leather slip-ons: a natural boat shoe and a beefroll penny loafer. Classic in silhouette, both kicks are handmade in America (Maine, to be precise) and are comprised fully from Natural Horween Chromexcel leather. It’s nice to see American companies doing such a fine job of reclaiming their design heritage as well as a rise in consumers who are willing to pay the price for high-quality domestic products. Available now online
from $225 USD to $275 USD.
Spotted at Agenda was an upcoming collaborative footwear venture between Primitive and Southern California shoe masters Gourmet. Working with the Quadici silhouette, the Primitive crew developed a colorway inspired by 1996′s Space Jam. Featuring a mostly black colorway, the shoes mix premium leather and patent leather uppers with white/blue accenting and a Primitive logo on the heel. Stay tuned for a better look once 2012 rolls around.
