The recently released
Avengers trailer beat the previous iTunes downloading record set by
The Dark Knight Rises. With 13,7 million downloads on the first day (!), it beat the upcoming Batman movie's previous record of 12,5 million. So at the moment the upcoming Marvel movie by Buffy-creator Joss Whedon should be seen as the most anticipated movie coming out this summer! Of course, the record will probably be beaten soon, either by the next
The Dark Knight Rises trailer or perhaps by a
The Hobbit trailer.
I'm probably more psyched about the next
The Dark Knight Rises out of the two, the only thing that really makes
The Avengers interesting is that Whedon is behind it. But I can't really see that many superhero-characters and actors crammed into a feature film work that well. And of course, Christopher Nolan usually comes up with pretty good stuff, and the ending of a trilogy is always interesting, though I personally liked
Batman Begins more than
The Dark Knight.
