Trailer Released For Burton's Latest
A first trailer is out for Tim Burton's new film. Dark Shadows is a remake of the classic horror soap opera with the same name (which there exists two versions of, one from the 60s and one made during the early 90s). Starring as the lead character Barnabas is as usual Johnny Depp, and of course we'll also see Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter in a major role. Others to star in the film are Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green and Chloe Grace Moretz. The story centers about a very, very old vampire waking up during the 1970s and his human family. As this is a remake, there's the usual upset fans. Major gripes with this film is that the trailer has a very comedic tone compare to the more serious series, which I really have to agree with. Hopefully the actual film will have a more serious tone. Apparently Johnny Depp is a huge fan of the original series, and he's the one who bought the rights to the film. Personally I didn't really like the trailer, and as I've been disappointed with a lot of the movies made by Burton the last decade I don't have any high expectations for this one. What do you think?
SimCity 2013 - Trailer
Anyone who's ever played a SimCity game for more than 5 minutes will tell you the strange attachment you get to your own little virtual city. SimCity 2013 is now on the horizon, meaning many jobs will be quit & many aspiring city builders will lose all social contact for a while. For those unfamiliar, SimCity is quite a self-explanatory concept. You build your own city, you are "Mayor" as such, and you build your city from the ground up. Changing literally every aspect along the way. It is literally the City version of The Sims. What do you guys think? The new graphical approach definitely is an improvement from previous iterations! The much anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy XIII hit shelves earlier this month, and the verdict is in: the Final Fantasy series still has it. Final Fantasy XIII-2 has smart, engaging mechanics, and a novel structure that ensures a compelling story line. And, let's be honest, anybody who is a fan of the series will be buying the game without a second thought. Check out the trailer below!Trailer Released for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"
Yes, this is a real movie. Based on the 2010 book of the same name, by Seth Grahame-Smith, this movie tells the tale of President Lincoln and his secret vampire-hunting life. The film is produced by Tim Burton, and stars Benjamin Walker as Lincoln (never heard of him), along with Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Alan Tudyk. Honestly, I have no idea how this movie is going to be. It has some decent flashes in the trailer, but it could very easily tank. Tom Hardy was originally linked to the role of Lincoln, but maybe he decided he didn't want to kill his career before he becomes an A-List actor. It very well could be a good movie, but I think it is way too niche to be a major blockbuster. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Ever since the premiere of "The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King" back in 2003, fans have been asking when Tolkien's other great Middle Earth tome would get a big-screen, big-budget adaptation. A change of directors, lawsuits, and the aforementioned bankruptcy of MGM delayed things for a while, but the first half of Bilbo's saga will be in theaters this Christmas. The second half will be released next year.
